Who we are
The KSP is a group of up to 15 parents/carers of children attending Kennethmont School.
We support school events and organize fundraising events, which provide essential income for purchasing equipment for Kennethmont School as well as co-funding transport for school trips etc.
The 15 members of the KSP are elected through self-nomination and voting amongst all parents at the beginning of each school year.
Among the 15 members, the KSP has three office bearers, who are responsible for the various administrative tasks within the KSP. The KSP office bearers for the coming year are voted in at the annual general meeting (AGM).
The current office bearers are:
Chairperson: Charlotte Whitley
Secretary: Kim Postlethwaite
Treasurer: Kelly Morin
Meetings
The KSP usually schedules one meeting per term (i.e. 4 per year) + one AGM at the start of the school year. All parents/carers at Kennethmont School are automatically members of the KSP, and as such, you are all very welcome to join the meetings.
There is no obligation to participate at the meetings, but it gives each person a chance to voice opinions/concerns that might otherwise not be discussed, so we would like to encourage you to get involved in the meetings whenever you can.
We are a friendly bunch, and we try to keep the tone of the meetings fairly informal, while still working through the agenda in a proper fashion.
KSP Facebook page
The KSP maintains a Facebook group. Please note: The KSP Facebook group page is used purely for distributing and providing official information, not for discussing or settling matters, which are either out with the remit of the KSP, or which require the approval of other KSP members (i.e. matters for discussion at the scheduled KSP meetings).
